India, June 20 -- India's telecom sector continued its steady expansion in early 2025, adding more than 10 million new subscribers in the first quarter alone. According to the latest performance indicator report from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the total number of telephone users-combining wireless and wireline-reached 1,200.80 million by the end of March 2025, up from 1,189.92 million in December 2024. The increase marks a 0.91% growth over the previous quarter and a year-on-year gain of 0.13%.
