India, Aug. 22 -- The Indian government has approved an additional capital expenditure of Rs 6,982 crore to support the expansion of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-run telecom operator. This funding will enable BSNL to upgrade its infrastructure and extend its 4G network across more regions of the country. Simultaneously, the company is preparing to launch 5G services in select markets, likely starting with Delhi. BSNL has already conducted trials of both 5G Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) technologies.
