Tashkent, June 5 -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has made a decision to issue new Uzbek soum denominated banknotes worth of 2,000 soums and 20,000 soums. New money are set to be produced from 14 June this year.

New banknotes are dedicated to the "Great Silk Road" and the history of the ancient city of Bukhara and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

A special element, made in purple, located on the right and left edges, is intended for people with low vision and, due to the relief of the image, makes it possible to determine the value of the denomination by touch.
