Tashkent, May 21 -- According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 61 Uzbek citizens were released from prison in Turkmenistan under an amnesty. Today, this group of Uzbekistanis returned home.

They were brought to the country through the customs border post in the Alat district of Bukhara region in accordance with sanitary and hygienic requirements.

Now they are placed for 14 day- quarantine in the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region.

Five of those released have been prosecuted on the territory of Uzbekistan. Two of them have already been sent via a special convoy to Karakalpakstan at their place of residence.
