Tashkent, June 25 -- The Uzbek-Chinese coronavirus vaccine ZF-UZ-VA201 was proved effective against the Indian strain of coronavirus, the Ministry of Innovation has reported.

Chinese scientists are now conducting a detailed study of the effect of the vaccine on the delta strain that appeared in India. Preliminary results have shown the effectiveness of the vaccine against it.

More than 90mn people have already been vaccinated with the first and second doses of this vaccine in China so far.

Studies have also confirmed that ZF-UZ-VA201 is effective against African and British strains.
