India, Feb. 13 -- WestJet and Lufthansa Technik have announced the signing of an exclusive agreement, whereby Lufthansa Technik will deliver engine maintenance services for the CFM International LEAP-1B engines that power WestJet's Boeing 737 fleet.This 15-year, multi-billion-dollar contract represents the largest agreement in WestJet's 30-year history and was the result of a comprehensive global sourcing process. Lufthansa Technik plans to establish a new engine repair facility specifically for the maintenance of LEAP-1B engines, focusing on near-wing and quick-turn services.
