Us, Nov. 28 -- Several Western nations, including the United States and Germany, have issued advisories urging their citizens to exercise caution when traveling to Tanzania, citing recent protests, terrorism concerns, and human rights issues-particularly those affecting LGBTQ travelers.
The warnings follow a wave of violent protests in Dar es Salaam triggered by alleged election irregularities. While the unrest caused significant disruption in late October, Tanzanian authorities and industry leaders say the situation has since stabilized.
Paradoxically, major tour operators such as TUI in Germany and the United Kingdom, as well as airlines including Qatar Airways, report rising visitor numbers to the East African nation.
