U.S, Feb. 4 -- Tigerair Taiwan, Taiwan's only home-based low-cost carrier, has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for four A321neo aircraft, marking its first order for the type. Headquartered in Taiwan, Tigerair Taiwan was established in 2014 and has built a strong presence across Northeast and Southeast Asia, focusing on affordable travel and high-frequency regional routes.

The airline currently operates a fleet of 17 A320 Family aircraft and will benefit from greater fleet commonality, reducing training, maintenance, and operating costs. Configured with 232 seats, the A321neo will allow Tigerair Taiwan to boost capacity on high-demand routes and support further network expansion.
