India, March 31 -- World Tourism Network was launched in 2020 in Berlin, Germany, at the ITB trade show, which never took place. It hosted the rebuilding travel discussion with more than 200+ Zoom discussions during the COVID shutdown. Ministers, heads of tourism boards, travel professionals, and a core audience of small and medium-sized travel and tourism businesses came together. There was no membership fee. With the help of eTurboNews, WTN became 29,000 members strong.

WTN launched several local chapters in Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Nepal, expanding discussions on a regional level.
