U.S, Feb. 21 -- Florida's tourism industry is setting new records even as some Canadians and European travelers say they are avoiding the state amid political tensions tied to U.S. President Donald Trump and ongoing cultural debates.

State tourism data shows overall visitation continues to climb, driven largely by domestic travelers. Officials say more than 140 million people visited Florida last year, the highest number on record, with Americans accounting for the vast majority of arrivals.
