US, Jan. 15 -- The Government of Canada has announced $530,000 in federal funding for three major arts and culture organizations in Ottawa, reinforcing a national strategy that treats cultural festivals as both a public good and a key pillar of tourism and economic development.

The announcement was made by Yasir Naqvi, Member of Parliament for Ottawa Centre, on behalf of Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages.

Funding is delivered through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund (CAPF).
