U.S., Aug. 22 -- Avianca is the national airline of Colombia and a member of the Star Alliance, coordinating networks with Copa in Panama, United Airlines, and the Lufthansa Group.

The average age of Avianca's aircraft is 13.6 years compared with more than 15 years for United Airlines.

The airline invested $800 million in 2025 to expand and upgrade its fleet, enhance service, and extend business class services and offerings. Avianca and its loyalty program LifeMiles are unveiling three new premium spaces for travelers at Bogota's El Dorado Airport.
