Hyderabad, Nov. 22 -- Well-known surgeon Dr P V Chalapathi Rao passed away in the
city on Sunday.
He was 93.
He is survived by wife and son Dr Raghuram , an oncologist, current President of Surgeons
Association of India (SAI).
A recipient of Dr.B.C.Roy National award, Dr.Chalapathi Rao was the first surgeon from the
Telugu speaking states to be elected as SAI president in 1994.
