Cincinnati, Aug. 18 -- Twenty three years old top seed Aussie Ashleigh Barty was stunned by 34-year-old Russian wild card holder Svetlana Kuznetsova who carved out a straight sets 6-2, 6-4 victory in one hour and eight minutes in the women's singles semi-final match at the Center Court of the Western and Southern Open WTA Tour 1000 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, here on Saturday.

Kuznetsova had won the US Open title in 2004 and the Roland Garros crown in 2009.

The semi-final began just at the conclusion of the Next Generation Clinic at the Center Court.
