Puducherry, July 28 -- As many as 97 more persons were tested positive for Coronavirus and one died in the Union Territory since the last 24 hours, ending at 10 AM on Wednesday, taking the COVID-19 infection tally to 1,20,627 and death toll to 1,792.
The lone death was reported in the Yanam region.
There was a slight decline in the new cases as 113 Corona virus cases and a fatality had registered on Tuesday.
According to Covid-19 status released by the health department here, of the 5,635 swab sample tests conducted yesterday, 97 persons tested positive for the virus.
About 74 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 16 in Karaikal region, two in Yanam region and five in Mahe region.
