Peddapalli, Feb. 23 -- Two persons were killed on the spot and two others injured when a car in which they were travelling turned turtle at Malyalapalli on Ramagundem-Rajiv Highway on Tuesday morning.

Police said the victims hailed from Narasaraopet, Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. They were selling gold ornaments to the gold shops in Telangana. They were having about Rs one crore worth of gold ornaments at the time of accident.

The injured were admitted to Government Hospital, Karimnagar.

The deceased were identified as Kotha Srinivas and Kotha Ramababu.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police added.
