Guntur, Feb. 23 -- Three persons were killed and 12 others were injured when a goods carrier rammed against a tree at Parvathipuram village in Vinukonda mandal in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
Police said that the goods carrier vehicle was coming to Guntur from Kurnool with 16 people rammed against a roadside tree killing Bhimudu (50), Srinivas (7) and driver of the vehicle Umesh Kumar (29). All the deceased and injured were coming to Guntur seeking livelihood.
The injured persons were admitted to the government general hospital in Vinukonda. The police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the GGH for postmortem.
