Mumbai, Dec. 3 -- The Rupee on Tuesday slipped by five paise to 71.70 in opening trade on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

An oscillation was witnessed in early trade today, as local unit registered intra day high and low at 71.71 and 71.59 respectively.

The Rupee remained weak on strong dollar against other world currencies, they added.
