New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- The Central Board of Secondary Education, responsible for conducting final examination for Class 10th and 12th every year, stated on Tuesday that the fee hike is required for self sustenance and to maintain CV quality in examination, evaluation and overcome the financial deficit. The Board, which came under strong criticism from various quarters including political parties, stated several reasons for the rise which has been done after 5 years. At a briefing here, it was stated that huge increase in cost of papers, printing of Confidential material, transportation, storage and other logistics, increased cost for use of new technological interventions are the reasons for the hike.
