Kangra, March 11 -- A five-day training program for Medical Officers on "substance abuse, addiction treatment protocol" coordinated by regional resource and training centre North - II, Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, started at Regional Health and Family Welfare Training Centre Chheb from Monday in partnership with National Drugs Dependence and Treatment Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi and supported by National Health Mission, Himachal Pradesh. Kangra Chief Medical Officer Dr Gurdarshan Gupta, who inaugurated the program, told UNI, "Abuse of Psychoactive Substances/Drugs is becoming a major health problem across the globe and same is the scenario in Himachal Pradesh also".
