Thane, Oct. 10 -- A 21-year-old woman doctor died after being run over by a vehicle when she fell off a two-wheeler as it slipped on a pothole in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred at 1045 hrs on Wednesday when Neha Shaikh was returning to her home in Bhiwandi after shopping for her marriage, scheduled on November 7. Neha was riding pillion on a two-wheeler driven by her brother. When the vehicle skidded over a pothole Dugadh Phata, she fell on the road and was crushed to death by a passing by truck.
