Ranchi, Sept. 11 -- Security arrangements have been increased in the state especially in the capital for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on September 12.

A total of 8 IPS and 54 DSP rank officials have been deployed to look after Prime Minister's security, with Ranchi SSP Anish Gupta in the lead. To ensure full proof security 123 inspectors, 656 sub-inspectors and 6,000 police jawans have been deployed.

Special vigil was kept on vehicles passing through the prominent spots of the city and suspicious person were inspected. Patrolling at the airport has also been increased. Jawans will be deployed at all the highrises. The SSP has instructed the different police stations to be in touch with each other.
