New Delhi, April 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the death of former UNI stringer Brahm Kanchibotla, due to Novel Coronavirus infection.
In a condolence message, the PM said, ''Deeply anguished by the passing away of Indian-American journalist Mr Brahm Kanchibotla. He will be remembered for his fine work and efforts to bring India and US closer. Condolences to his family and friends. Om Shanti.''
The 66-year-old former stringer for United News of India, had breathed his last due to cardiac arrest on Monday in a hospital in New York.
He had been admitted to the hospital last week, his family said.
Kanchibotla developed symptoms of COVID-19 on March 23.
