Shillong, May 23 -- Former Union Minister and Congress candidate Vincent Pala and former Union Minister Agatha Sangma of National People's Party are leading in Shillong and Tura parliamentary seats in Meghalaya.

Counting of votes is in progress.

Two-time sitting Lok Sabha member, Pala is leading by 72402 votes against his nearest rival Jemino Mawthoh o f the United Democratic Party so far in Shillong seat.

In Tura parliamentary constituency, former Union Minister and NPP Agatha Sangma is leading against her rival by 34,536 votes. Agatha is the youngest sister of Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

Meanwhile, NPP candidate Ferlin CA Sangma is leading by 1600 votes against her nearest rival of June Eliana R. Marak of the Congress in...
