New Delhi, Jan. 25 -- On the eve of Republic Day, 21 people were on Saturday named for the prestigious Padma Shri awards for creative development of the society. President Ram Nath Kovind approved the awards on Saturday night.

These awards are being given to those special people who have set an example for others through their creative and extraordinary work for the development of society.

The 21 people who were named for the Padma Shri awards include Langar Baba Jagdish Lal Ahuja, Chacha Sharif Mohamad Sharif, Javed Ahmed Tak, Van Kosh Tulsi Gowda, Abdul Jawab from Bhopal and Usha Chaumar from Sulabh. UNI AKS-AR SHK2048
