Bhubaneswar, Nov. 28 -- Odisha government has asked the district administration to remain more alert to counter the possible third wave of Covid 19 in the state.

Odisha Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra directed all District Collectors, Police Superintendents and Chief Medical Officers through a video conferencing to remain alert and prepared after a new variant of concern -Omicron was found in certain countries.

Mr Mohapatra said there is a need to be extra cautious as after the second wave all schools and colleges started classes and all institutions and organisations have restarted their activities.
