Puducherry, March 22 -- Dr K Narayansamy will contest the April 18 Lok Sabha election from the lone Puducherry seat on N R Congress ticket.
Announcing the candidature of Narayansamy here on Friday, NR Congress Founder and former Chief Minister N Rangaswamy said he was selected as the candidate to give preference for youth.
A MBBS doctor by profession, Narayansamy is the son of a former DMK legislator late Kesavan.
He will be filing his nomination papers later in the day.
Congress Candidate V Vaithilingam who had resigned to the Assembly Speaker post on Thursday night will also file his nomination papers today.
