Puducherry, Jan. 20 -- As many as 31 more persons were tested positive for Coronavirus in the Union Territory since the last 24 hours, ending at 10 AM on Wednesday, taking the tally of active cases to 296.
No deaths were reported during the period.
According to the COVID-19 released by the health department here, of the 3,679 swab sample tests conducted on Tuesday, 31 persons tested positive for the virus.
About 24 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, two in Karaikal region and five in Mahe region.
In the last 24 hours, 32 persons were discharged and 23 of them were from Puducherry region, one from Karaikal region and eight from Mahe region.
