Bhubaneswar, Jan. 11 -- Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today requested the Union
government to take an early decision on establishment of permanent Benches of
Odisha High Court in Western and Southern Odisha to fulfill the aspirations of the
people of the regions.
In a letter to Union Minister for law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad, the chief
minister said there is more than adequate justification for establishment of
permanent High Court Benches in these regions.
Mr Patnaik said he had already written to the central government in 2013, 2014
and 2018 for setting up of Permanent benches of the Odisha High Court in the
regions.
