Hamirpur, March 19 -- HP Chief Secretary BK Aggarwal on Tuesday inaugurated the National level Holi festival at Chaugan (Ground) of the Sujanpurtira Kaswa of this district in the presence of thousands of men, women and children.
The fair, being celebrated with great enthusiasm since Monday by the locals, was officially inaugurated today.
The Chief Secretary offered puja in the historic temple of Murli Manohar and also took part in a colourful procession that was taken out on this occasion under his leadership by the local people. Colorful 'pagris' (Headgears) were tied on the heads of VVIPs and others.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Richa Verma and SP Arjit Sen and other senior officers.
