Maha: 3 inmates escape from Amravati jail
Amravati/Nagpur, June 29 -- Three prisoners including one serving lifetime imprisonment escaped from Maharashtra's Amravati district Central Jail , a senior police told UNI on Wednesday.
According to the official the incident took place at Amravati Central Jail in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Taking advantage of the darkness of the night, three prisoners jumped over the wall of the prison and fled, the official said.
The three have been identified as Sahil Ajmal Kalsekar(33) from Ratnagiri district, Roshan Gangaram Uike (23) and Sumit Shivram Dhurve(22), both from Shendurjanaghat in Warud tehsil.
As per reports, the prayer hall in the jail was converted into a cell and some inmates were kept in it. The trio were staying in that particular cell...
