New Delhi, Dec. 6 -- The Lok Sabha was adjourned for an hour over the conduct of two Congress lawmakers against Union Minister Smriti Irani.

The issue figured in the post-lunch session.

BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, who was on the Chair, asked Congress floor leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to get two of his party colleagues T N Prathapan and Dean Kuriakose in the House and ask them to tender an apology.

As soon as the House re-assembled after a brief lunch break, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said the two Congress members be directed to attend the House proceedings and tender apology.

Condemning the episode, he said such acts on the part of Congress members were "uncalled for" and "most condemnable".
