Bengaluru, Nov. 7 -- The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested two former Karnataka Ranji players CM Gautam and Abrar Kazi on charges of spot-fixing in the finals of Karnataka Premier League (KPL), earlier this year. According to a report in Cricinfo on Thursday, Gautam, captain of Bellary Tuskers, and his team-mate Kazi allegedly accepted Rs 20 lakh for "slow batting" in the KPL finals against Hubli Tigers on August 31 this year, which the Tuskers lost by eight runs. The duo are also alleged to have been involved in fixing another match, against the Bengaluru Blasters in the KPL.
