Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 1 -- Kerala reported eight deaths due to COVID-19 on Saturday whereas 1,129 people tested positive to the virus and 752 patients recovered from the disease, Health Minister KK Shailaja said on Saturday evening.
As many as 10,862 patients are under treatment in various districts.
In a press release here, the Minister said "Currently 1,43,996 people are under surveillance in the state -- 1,33,616 are under observation at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 10,380 are in hospitals. 1,257 persons were admitted to the hospital today."
