Hamirpur, March 23 -- A major tussle has always been there between BJP and Congress party from Hamirpur seat from where the BJP has been constantly winning the seat since 1998.

The seat goes to polling on May 19th. The election process for the seat will start on April 22nd and last date of the withdrawal of nomination papers is on May 2nd. The counting of votes will be done on May 23rd along with other parts of India and results will be declared on the same day.

Anurag Thakur of BJP had won the seat defeating Rajinder Rana of the Congress party in 2014 elections with a margin of 98,403 votes. He is three times MP and wants to hit a four.
