Panaji, Jan. 14 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant along with Minister for Rural Development Agency Michael Lobo held a meeting with senior officials of Rural Development Agency (RDA) and reviewed the various issues pertaining to National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA), National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) schemes and other matters.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the authorities concerned to prepare a comprehensive proposal to strengthen the NREGA Scheme and also NRLM.
Director RDA Sanjit Rodrigues highlighted the need to engage requisite manpower on contract basis under NREGA so as to facilitate the RDA to seek funds from Central Government and take up various work related to development.
