Puducherry, March 5 -- At a time when the BJP is desperately trying to grab power in the Union Territory, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) has put forth a suggestion to thwart the move and invited N R Congress President N Rangaswamy to lead the Secular Democratic Alliance (SDA).

Knowing well that the N R Congress is the main force in the UT and the BJP could achieve nothing without its support, the latter is behind Mr Rangaswamy to forge an alliance for the April 6 assembly election in the UT.

But with the N R Congress losing three elections (Lok Sabha election and two by-elections) in the UT in company with the AIADMK and BJP, Mr Rangaswamy is reluctant to fight the election in company with the BJP.
