Lucknow, Dec. 7 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Saturday expressed deep grief over death of Unnao rape victim and demanded swift justice to the family of deceased.
In her tweet, Ms Mayawati said, ''The rape victim, who was torched in Unnao, succumbed to her injuries in a Delhi hospital which is extremely painful. The BSP stands by the bereaved family in this hour of grief. Uttar Pradesh government should take initiatives to provide swift justice to the family of deceased''.
She said, ''Central and state government should focus on law and order which will reduce such crime by creating fear among criminals. Convicts must get maximum punishment in such crimes within legitimate time.''
