Puducherry, Feb. 13 -- Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Thursday welcomed Assembly adopting a resolution on Wednesday against CAA, NPR and NRC and exhorted all sections of the society to come out and fight against this 'unwarranted'Act.
CPI-M Secretary Rajangam in a statement criticized Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi for advising the government not to adopt the resolution as the Assembly lacks powers to do so hiding the fact that the government have powers under the 'extension of Law' to decide to implement or not any Act of the central government.
Mr Rajangam also took strong exception on the opposition N R Congress and AIADMK for not participating in the 'historic' resolution.
