Shimla, Sept. 10 -- District Unit of CPI(M) on Tuesday flayed the recent hike in the collections
charges of garbage by the Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC).
In press statement issued here, the party secretary and former mayor Sanjay Chauhan termed the hike unjustified demanded to role back the increased charges.
He said that garbage collection charges was increased irrationally by hiking it 10 per cent recently by the SMC.
The way SMC are hiking the various charges of services render to resident of Shimla town exposed its role for failing to serve the people being the service providers, party alleged .
