Guwahati, Dec. 3 -- An Opposition Congress MLA, Rupjyoti Kurmi, today slit his palm in the Assam Legislative Assembly to write anti-government slogans in blood.
Kurmi, walking out of the Floor of the House, sat at the entrance and slit open his left palm with a blade.
He used his blood to write a slogan against the government's purported move to sell the two paper mills, fertilizer factory and two tea gardens in the state.
The medical team at the Assembly premises immediately rushed to Kurmi's side and offered first aid.
