Bhopal, Aug. 24 -- Madhya Pradesh politics witnessed a fresh turn on Saturday with ruling Congress spokesman Pankaj Chaturvedi raising a demand for bestowing command of the party's state unit to erstwhile central minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

"The pair comprising senior leader duo Kamal Nath and Scindia gave the Congress fine results in the Assembly elections. The time is ripe for re-establishing this set of two," he conveyed via social media. Mr Chaturvedi is believed to be Mr Scindia's die-hard supporter.

Mr Nath is in a dual role as Chief Minister and Congress state head.
