Bengaluru, Nov. 9 -- Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday appealed the people of the state to maintain peace and harmony in the society, ahead of the Ayodhya case verdict, which would be delivered today.

In a tweeter message, Chief Minister has said that "As the Supreme Court gives its verdict on Ayodhya case today, let us accept it with equanimity".

"Let us respect the constitution and the Judiciary system of the nation" he added.

Meanwhile, a state-wide alert has been sounded across the state, as a precautionary measures to prevent any untoward situation.

The Deputy Commissioners in several districts, had clamped prohibitory orders in sensitive places in their respective districts.
