Vijayawada, Sept. 19 -- The massive surge of Coronavirus positive cases continued in Andhra Pradesh as 8,218 new positive cases were reported while 58 more patients died in a period of 24 hours.
A health bulletin here on Saturday said that 74,595 swab samples were diagnosed in a period of 24 hours of which 8,218 were tested positive for Coronavirus taking the total number of cases to 6,17,776.
With the death of 58 patients in a period of 24 hours, the pandemic has claimed 5,302 lives of patients so far. Most of the deaths have taken place in Chittoor district (580), Guntur district (492), East Godavari district (481), Kurnool district (440), Prakasham district (412), Nellore district (420) and West Godavari district (414).
