Mumbai, Feb. 11 -- The Bombay High Court on Monday adjourned the
hearing of anticipatory bail plea of academic Anand Teltumbde, who
is being investigated in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence
of last year, until February 20.
When additional public prosecutor sought time to file a detailed
affidavit opposing the alleged accused's anticipatory bail
application, a single bench of the high court said that Teltumbde
should not be arrested till February 20.
Teltumbde's counsel, Mihir Desai, mentioned the bail plea before the
high court, seeking an urgent hearing.
Teltumbde, a professor at Goa Institute of Management, is an accused
in the Elgar Parishad-Bhima-Koregaon case. He was among the
activists who were called "urban naxals".
