Dahod, Nov. 13 -- The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police on Wednesday arrested a contract based Technical Assistant in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, (MGNREGA) branch Dhanpur in Dahod district of east-central Gujarat for taking bribe over a work order for construction of a check-dam.
ACB Assistant Director D P Chudasama said that technical assistant in the MGNREGA branch in Dhanpur of Dahod Harshad Rameshbhai Gari (29) had sought a bribe of Rs 6000 from the complainant for issuing the work order.
Based on the complaint, the sleuths of ACB laid a trap and caught the accused red handed for taking bribe on the roadside, near a petrol pump in Dahod town.
