Dhaka, April 4 -- After a long layoff of over two months due to an ankle injury, pacer Taskin Ahmed started bowling on Thursday. He bowled 30 deliveries at the National Academy ground with a short run-up.

The right-arm pacer expressed his optimism about taking part in the Super League stage of the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.

Taskin sustained a blow on his ankle during the last match of Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on February 1. Due to the injury, Takin missed the New Zealand tour of the Tigers in spite of grabbing a place in the team.
