Sylhet, March 15 -- Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Friday termed unfortunate the terrorist attacks at two mosques in a country like New Zealand that killed at least 49 people, including three Bangladeshis.

Briefing reporters about the attacks at Osmani International Airport, he also said Bangladesh national cricket team players are safe and given adequate security by local security forces.

"This is unfortunate that such attacks have been made in a country which claimed itself as terrorism-free one," the minister said.

Mentioning that Bangladesh does not have any embassy in New Zealand, Momen said they are gathering information about the attacks through different sources.
