Bangladesh, Aug. 13 -- Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering on Tuesday called his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina and extended Eid greetings to her and the people of Bangladesh.

"Lotay Tshering phoned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 11:45am today and extended heartfelt greetings to her and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha," PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.

On behalf of the people and on her own behalf, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended her heartfelt greetings to the Bhutanese King and the premier and people, the press secretary said.

During the 10-minute conversation, both the prime ministers wished continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of the two countries.
