Dhaka, March 18 -- Fatema Chowdhury, the younger sister of former president and Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh chief Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, passed away in Bangkok early Monday. She was 76.

Fatema, also the wife of late UN official Muyeed Chowdhury, breathed her last at a Bangkok hospital around 12:15am (BST) after suffering a heart attack, said a press release.

She is survived by two daughters, two sons and a host of relatives to mourn her death.

Fatema, who completed her post-graduation from Dhaka University's history department and obtained MS degree on elderly education from US's Michigan University, taught English at different institutions, including Purana Paltan College, Cumilla Cantonment School and Uttara Women's Medical Colleg...
